Huron Residences have dedicated locations for students living on campus to store their hockey bags outside of their assigned rooms.

Only the following locations are approved:

• Burnlea Hall Hockey Bag Storage Room (access outside near stairwell A) 34 spots available (already ~94% sold)
• O'Neil Ridley Laundry room (ground floor) 36 spots available (already ~64% sold)
• Hellmuth Laundry room (ground floor) 36 spots available (already ~72% sold)
• Southwest Laundry room (ground floor) 9 spots available (already ~67% sold)

Students are to store their hockey bag at their residence only as access to each storage room requires their specific residence room keys.  Hockey bags stored in an incorrect residence compared to a students assigned resident will result in the hockey bag being confiscated and may result in being inelgible for the hockey bag storage program. 

Any hockey bags or equipment found in hallways, corridors, stairwells, etc. will be removed and confiscated as they are a safety risk.

Each location above has specific shelving to store hockey bags on.

What can be stored?

One (1) hockey bag per person.

Equipment is to remain inside the bag. Bags must be kept off of the ground on the provided shelves.  Hockey equipment on the floor or outside of the bag on the shelving will be removed and confiscated.

Sticks are permitted and can be stored near the provided shelving as long as they are stored in an orderly way.

Bag Tags Required:

All approved and paid applications will result in a "bag tag" being applied to your hockey bag by Huron Facilities within 48 hours of submittal and the students placement of the hockey bag on the shelves.

Bag tags are a plastic seal with a unique number assigned to you.

This bag tag will be installed on a handle or strap in a visible location.  This bag tag must remain visible on your hockey bag at all times.

Any bags in the room without an approved bag tag will be removed and confiscated.

$50 - Fall & Winter Term Storage (until April 30, 2027)

Terms & Conditions:

1. I acknowledge and agree that the bag tag and hockey bag storage area in the my residence assigned to me will be utilized only by the assigned permit holder. Any misuse of the permit, including but not limited to using it to allow others not listed under this permit to store their hockey bag, letting unregistered people into the storage room or leaving other items in the room, is a violation of this agreement and may incur fines and have hockey bag storage privileges revoked indefinitely.
2. I agree to remove my hockey bag from the assigned area in the room prior to the end of your permit duration.  Failure to remove your hockey bag could result in the equipment being seized.
3. Forgery, Fraud, and possession of lost or stolen property are criminal offences. Any person found in possession of a permit recorded as lost or stolen or equipment recorded as lost or stolen will be fined and have hockey bag storage privileges revoked indefinitely.  Criminal charges may be laid in either/both circumstances.
4. Huron Residences Hockey Bag Storage locations are all access controlled as part of the residences. Any suspect activities in the room will be investigated.  If you identify tampering or misuse of the room please immediately contact Huron Security to investigate.
5. Huron University College assumes no responsibility for damage or loss to hockey bags or contents, however caused, while stored on Huron property.
6. Bag tag permits sales will be made online via credit card only.

Once Sold Out, students will need to store their hockey bags in their residence rooms or off campus.

NOTE - Huron will validate entered student name and room assignments and any conflicts could result in loss of access.  All hockey bag storage locations require specific access credentials that are tied to the student's residence room.

Please note that paying by credit card will incur an additional credit card fee, which is displayed on a separate line at the bottom of this section. This is not a fee incurred by nor paid to Huron University.
