Join Dr. Tracy Lemos either in-person on Huron's campus (Classroom H112) or on Zoom for her lecture, "Leviticus as Healing: Dehumanization and Rehumanization after Exile."

Forming part of a large-scale comparative project on dehumanization, this lecture will examine the books of Isaiah and Leviticus as responses to dehumanizing violence. Lemos will present a reading of the purity rituals of Leviticus as rites of healing that departs radically from previous interpretations of this widely misunderstood and much maligned book.
